Laura Hernandez is a trusted neighbor who will be prioritizing Linden and advocating for its residents' needs and concerns.
She is a Military Veteran, an EMT, Linden School Employee, a member of the American Legion, and a Dedicated Parent and Community Member.
Team; it’s all about teamwork to me.
I want to hear not just those in 7th wards voice but everyone’s voice. And I want us all to be able to be committed to community and work along side each other to help build Linden into something amazing. Into a city where everyone is proud to be from. A city that stands together in cohesion and teamwork!!
My Campaign is centered on community-centric values, emphasizing collaboration, and the development of effective solutions.
I am committed to listening to the concerns of all residents, fostering strong partnerships between community members, business owners, and local authorities.
By prioritizing Linden, i aim to fortify relationships within our community, guaranteeing that the voices and needs of our residents are consistently heard.

For 7th ward my goals are:
•To have a monthly community ward meeting
•To have the sewage system looked at in our ward. Even from run offs in our neighboring ward. Put together a plan based on real raw data to have our sewers updated.
In the works of this make sure that during any substantially rain or snow that the flood areas are blocked off with flood barriers. Also making sure all drains are cleaned.
•Implement a new neighborhood watch program.
•To have rumble strips/ speed cushions installed
throughout the ward
•Put together and build a youth committee for our ward. This committee will hold a monthly meeting and it will bring the youth together in a positive environment, and have them learn life skills. (This program I would like to build and over time bring it into the other wards)
•Set up an environmental committee for the ward. Making sure the pond and parks are clean. To provide beautiful areas for our residents to use daily.
•Having the schools zone (school 2) taken care of with More help from police or oem with the traffic and speeding zones.
•Re routing the truck traffic on wood Ave.
•Community day in 7th ward
These are just some of my intentions for 7th ward once I get elected. Again believe that hearing the residents voices are important and I intend to work hand and hand with everyone in my ward.
My Key Issues
Government Transparency
increase community involvement in decision-making, such as REGULAR town halls within my ward, transparent budgeting, or citizen-led committees.
Parks and Rec
expand recreational programs, including new initiatives, partnerships, or funding allocations.making safe spaces for children to go and grow instead of being in the street.
Community Health and Wellness
Make sure that our community has support in all ways. invest in mental health resources, such as new facilities, services, or community programs.
Community Partnerships
Working collaboratively with local residents, community organizations, and businesses to identify needs and implement solutions together.
Infrastructure Improvement:
Investment in local roads, schools, public spaces, and other essential community infrastructure to improve quality of life. Looking over the sewage system in-depth. Looking at ways to build a safer city for our residences.
Public safety
Key goals include crime prevention, effective emergency response to various crises, promoting health, and fostering a sense of security that allows the city's residents and businesses to thrive. Looking to build a strong public safety framework that relies on collaboration between different agencies and strategies that address both immediate threats and the root causes of safety concerns.
